Opis: 3D Modeling of Buildings - Laure Chandelier, Raphaele Heno

Conventional topographic databases, obtained by capture on aerial or spatial images provide a simplified 3D modeling of our urban environment, answering the needs of numerous applications (development, risk prevention, mobility management, etc.). However, when we have to represent and analyze more complex sites (monuments, civil engineering works, archeological sites, etc.), these models no longer suffice and other acquisition and processing means have to be implemented. This book focuses on the study of adapted lifting means for "notable buildings". The methods tackled in this book cover lasergrammetry and the current techniques of dense correlation based on images using conventional photogrammetry.Acknowledgments xi Introduction xiii Chapter 1 Specific Requirements for the 3D Digitization of Outstanding Sites 1 1.1 The current offer for high-resolution 3D data 1 1.2 Statement of requirements 4 1.3 Existing surveying methods 8 1.4 From building specifications to realization 12 1.5 Bibliography 18 Chapter 2 3D Digitization Using Images 21 2.1 History in France 21 2.2 Equipment 23 2.3 Image acquisition 33 2.4 Image orientation 48 2.5 Production of 3D point clouds from images 57 2.6 3D drawing by stero or multi-image plotting 69 2.7 The software offer in close-range photogrammetry 74 2.8 Research prospects 74 2.9 Bibliography 76 Chapter 3 3D Digitization by Laser Scanner 85 3.1 History 85 3.2 Equipment 87 3.3 Acquisition by lasergrammetry 100 3.4 Registration of laser stations 110 3.5 Qualification of the point clouds obtained 118 3.6 Bibliography 120 Chapter 4 Complementarity of Techniques 125 4.1 Introduction 125 4.2 Comparison of techniques 125 4.3 Example of the survey of Amiens Cathedral 127 4.4 Bibliography 130 Chapter 5 Point Cloud Processing 133 5.1 Visualization and organization of 3D point clouds 134 5.2 Preprocessing of the point clouds 143 5.3 From the point cloud to the 3D geometric model 153 5.4 By-products 166 5.5 Bibliography 173 Chapter 6 Management and Use of Surveys 183 6.1 Introduction 183 6.2 Managing data conservation 184 6.3 Diffusion of data 189 6.4 Bibliography 193 Conclusion 195 Index 197
