Opis: Dermatotoxicology - H Merk

During recent years, the influence of the immune system and xenobiotic metabolism on the pathogenesis of skin diseases has become evident. This can be observed in disorders such as atopic diseases and atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, skin tumors as well as extrinsic skin aging. Consequently, researchers from the fields of dermatology, environmental research and toxicology have joined in a meeting to advance the interdisciplinary translational research. Highlights are published as original papers or reviews in this special topic issue. The contributions written by renowned experts discuss topics ranging from photoprotection beyond ultraviolet radiation to porphyria, and from actinic keratosis and nanocarriers to cytochrome P450 isoenzymes. To clinicians and researchers in dermatology and toxicology, this issue will present an overview of the latest findings in dermatotoxicology.Editorial: Krutmann, J.; Lademann, J.; Merk, H.F.; Innovative Agents for Actinic Keratosis and Nanocarriers Enhancing Skin Penetration: Schafer-Korting, M.; Holtje, M.; Korting, H.C.; Holtje, H.-D.; Photoprotection beyond Ultraviolet Radiation - Effective Sun Protection Has to Include Protection against Infrared A Radiation-Induced Skin Damage: Schroeder, P.; Calles, C.; Benesova, T.; Macaluso, F.; Krutmann, J.; The Porphyrias: Clinic, Diagnostics, Novel Investigative Tools and Evolving Molecular Therapeutic Strategies: van Tuyll van Serooskerken, A.-M.; Poblete-Gutierrez, P.; Frank, J.; Expression and Induction of Cytochrome P450 Isoenzymes in Human Skin Equivalents: Neis, M.M.; Wendel, A.; Wiederholt, T.; Marquardt, Y.; Joussen, S.; Baron, J.M.; Merk, H.F.; Radical Production by Infrared A Irradiation in Human Tissue: Darvin, M.E.; Haag, S.; Meinke, M.; Zastrow, L.; Sterry, W.; Lademann, J.; Which Skin Model Is the Most Appropriate for the Investigation of Topically Applied Substances into the Hair Follicles?
