Opis: Small Fish Big Fish - Carlisle Jacob

Action Adventure Thriller

The year is 1965: The Beatles are number one on the British charts, the first US combat troops have arrived in Vietnam, and American and Soviet astronauts are orbiting the Earth.

It's an exciting time to be young and seventeen-year-old Stephen McBride knows precisely what he wants out of life. He has one good pal, a sexy girlfriend, and a family that love him. He’s also going to college so that he can get some qualifications, find a decent job and escape from this crappy town.

But Stephen carries a secret: he’s just filched ten pounds from the corner shop. Unfortunately for him, Archie Stewart and his gang spot him spending it at the fairground, rough him up and make off with the money.

When Archie later apologizes and makes out like he's Stephen’s best buddy, Stephen finds himself drawn unwillingly into a web of deceit and escalating crime from which he can’t escape.

Then, one morning, the shopkeeper is discovered dead—the same one that he and Archie had burgled the night before. And now it looks like Archie is trying to lay the blame on him. Keeping quiet is driving Stephen nuts, but coming clean will lose him the girl he loves and his best friend, and probably his family too.

So Stephen sets out to prove that Archie is a psychopathic killer. Maybe that way he has a chance to keep his girl and stay out of jail…maybe.

Set in Scotland during the nineteen-sixties, Small Fish Big Fish is the story of a young man’s struggle to understand and come to grips with his place in life. Hope, loyalty and love are tested to the limit in this YA action adventure thriller.
